You know you're going to carve a pumpkin, so why not make the most of it! Much like our popular Sugar Coated Pecans, these Candied Pumpkins Seeds will be a hit with adults and kids alike!
  • 1 egg whites
  • 1 cup fresh pumpkin seeds
  • ¼ cup sugar *
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ⅛ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  1. Preheat oven to 250° F.
  2. In a small bowl, combine sugar and spices.
  3. With an electric mixer, beat egg white until soft peaks form.
  4. Stir pumpkin seeds into the egg white until evenly coated.
  5. Toss seeds in sugar and spice mixture coated evenly.
  6. Line a baking sheet with foil and treat with a non-stick cooking spray.
  7. Spread coated pumpkin seeds in a single layer in the baking pan.
  8. Bake, uncovered, for 45-50 minutes.
  9. Cool completely and break into pieces before serving.
  10. Store in an airtight container.
* These are best with brown sugar, but will still be yummy with granulated white sugar.
