  • 2 cups rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • ½ cup soy sauce *
  • ¼ cup turbinado sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  1. Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; reduce heat to a simmer and cook until liquid is reduced by half, about 20 minutes.
  3. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve and let cool completely before using.
  4. Worcestershire sauce may be stored in an airtight container, refrigerated, for up to 3 months.
* Be sure to use FODMAP Free soy sauce.

    Isn’t fennel on the fodmap list?


      You are right, fennel is not FODMAP free. If you react to fennel, it can be replaced with 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke and 1/4 teaspoon anise seed. Hope that helps!
