Homemade chili sauce, ready in minutes to spice up any dish! Adjust the amount of hot sauce or red pepper flakes to get the amount of "heat" you want. It is so easy, you will wonder why you ever bought it!
  • 1 cup tomato sauce (be sure it's FODMAP Free)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar *
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon dried chives
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground clove
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (Crystal brand is FODMAP Free) **
  1. In a heavy sauce pan, mix all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Bring to boil over medium heat.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and use.
  5. Store any unused portion in a covered container in the refrigerator.
* If you react to brown sugar, substitute granulated sugar.

**Substitute ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes for the hot sauce if you don't have any on hand or can't find a FODMAP free variety.

Make it ahead so you have it on hand when needed!
