This southern delight is simple to make and a delicious dessert every chocolate lover will enjoy!
Ingredients
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • ½ cup dairy-free butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Prepare pie crust and place in a 9" pie pan.
  3. Pierce sides and bottom of unbaked pie crust with a fork.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  5. While crust is baking, make filling.
  6. In a heavy sauce pan, melt shortening over low heat.
  7. Add cocoa and stir until completely dissolved.
  8. Remove the pan from the heat and add the sugar.
  9. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
  10. Pour filling into prepared FODMAP Free pie crust.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until just set.
  12. Serve warm or cold.
Notes
Don't overcook or the "fudge" will get hard.
