Use this delicious FODMAP Free crumble to top your FODMAP free cakes, pastries, pies or ice creams! It is very good on top of a Blueberry Cinnamon Crumble Coffee Cake (pictured here)!
  • ½ cup sifted gluten free flour, all purpose
  • ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 tablespoons Earth Balance original "Buttery Spread" (or other lactose free butter alternative), chilled, cut in to ½ inch cubes
  1. Cut the pieces of lactose free butter, wrap loosely in wax paper and place in the freezer for approximately 20 minutes to chill.
  2. Blend first 6 ingredients in a food processor.
  3. Add chilled butter cubes; using on/off turns, cut in until mixture resembles wet sand.
  4. If you don't have a food processor, whisk together the first 6 ingredients and cut in the "butter" using a pastry blender or two knives.
