Finally, delicious tacos that are completely FODMAP Free! Enjoy this quick meal ... ready in 30 minutes from start to finish!
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons chopped chives
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped (optional)
  • 1 can organic tomato sauce***
  • ½ cup water
  • Taco seasoning (see ingredients below)
  • 12 Corn tortillas
  • Toppings (see suggestions below)
  • Taco Seasoning Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1½ teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  1. Mix together taco seasonings and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chives and chopped red bell pepper; drain fat.
  3. While meat is cooking, heat corn tortillas in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes. See instructions below.
  4. Stir in seasonings, tomato sauce and water.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Taco Toppings: shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, grated/shredded hard cheese, black sliced olives, sour cream**, hot sauce, scallions (green part only). ** Check out our recipe for FODMAP Free sour cream in the "Sauces and Soups" section of this web site. *** Make sure you get tomato sauce that has NO added onion or garlic. Many brands include these spices. To heat tortillas, stack the tortillas and lightly sprinkle water between each tortilla. Wrap all tightly in foil and place on center rack of a pre-heated oven.
